Japanese Samba Carnival in Tokyo 2009 Photos

The summer ended in Tokyo with its usual steaminess of humidity and sexy samba. Alright calendarally-speaking, summer’s not over till Sept 21st but many Japanese view the end of August as the end of summer as most school kids in the States do as well. Anyway, in the Asakusa district of Tokyo they held their annual samba carnival with their usual array of scantily-clad girls samba-ing away to the delight and lust of photographers.

  1. Dave, I also attended this year’s Samba Carnival (I missed it last year). http://bartman905.wordpress.com/2009/09/01/asakusa-samba-carnival/.

How did we miss each other :-) among the thousands of people (felt like millions, boy it was very crowded, wasn’t it?).

Looks like you were near the start, while I was near the finish. I didn’t stay long, I was 4-5 deep into the crowd (good thing I am tall).
